Via its master distributor in China, arcplan China/Cyber BI, arcplan has recently achieved large sales at a number of key accounts, notably in the utility and tobacco industries. arcplan China/Cyber BI is an IT service provider specializing in business intelligence (BI) and enterprise data integration (EDI). With its strategic partner, Sinosoft, arcplan China/Cyber BI has dramatically increased the number of arcplan Enterprise implementations in China, especially in the energy sector. Based on this success, the two companies have recently expanded their partnership to sell and implement arcplan solutions in eleven additional industry sectors.
Impressive arcplan Enterprise sales in utility sector
One of arcplan’s most significant new Chinese customers is Datang Power. As one of the largest independent power producers in China, Datang Power is engaged in the development and operation of power plants, the sale of electricity and thermal power, the repair and maintenance of power equipment, and the provision of power-related technical services. The initial project, currently underway, involves the implementation of arcplan applications at Datang Power’s Beijing headquarters and in 11 of its power plants. In 2009, arcplan Enterprise will be implemented in several additional power plants. An additional new arcplan customer in the utility industry is Huaneng Nanjing Power Plant, which develops, constructs, operates and manages large power plants throughout China. Sales to these key accounts have been a coordinated effort between arcplan China/Cyber BI and IT services company Sinosoft. Sinosoft is also managing the implementation of the arcplan applications at the Datang Power sites.
Further growth in the tobacco industry
Sales of arcplan Enterprise to companies in China’s thriving tobacco industry also continue to increase. Together with arcplan China/Cyber BI, arcplan recently won a new customer in this sector, the Shanghai Tobacco Group, one of China’s most successful manufacturers of tobacco products. In addition, a further arcplan Enterprise solution has been implemented at an existing arcplan customer, industry leader Hunan Tobacco.
Targeted conferences to meet need for information
Along with driving local arcplan sales and the partnership with Sinosoft, arcplan China/Cyber BI has also been busy organizing successful conferences to satisfy companies’ strong and growing demand for information about business intelligence and analytical solutions. A symposium in Beijing for arcplan customers, prospects and partners drew over 60 delegates from a range of industries. arcplan China/Cyber BI also hosted an industry-specific event, the Pharma Analytics Conference, in Hangzhou on China’s east coast. The area is home to a number of large pharmaceutical manufacturers. Roland Hoelscher, arcplan’s CTO, and Oliver Deistler, Manager Business Development & Channels, were invited to speak at the conference and demonstrated arcplan Enterprise to more than 80 executives from leading pharmaceutical companies.
Success leads to expanded partnership between arcplan China/Cyber BI and Sinosoft
Following on from their successful collaboration on several arcplan customer projects, arcplan China/Cyber BI and Sinosoft are strengthening their partnership. Alongside utilities, Sinosoft has 11 further teams, each focused on a specific industry. arcplan China/Cyber BI and Sinosoft’s broader agreement extends their arcplan-related collaboration across all 12 vertical industries. They recently celebrated the expanded partnership at a festive signing ceremony organized for the occasion.
