Column Charts
Column and Bar Charts are the bread-and-butter of reporting. The length of each vertically-oriented column is proportional to the value it represents. Column Charts are used for comparing values. Sometimes a stretched graphic is used instead of a solid column.

Bar Charts
Like Column Charts (but horizontally- oriented), Bar Charts provide an easy way to compare data. It is a visual display used to compare the amount or frequency of occurrence of different characteristics of data and it is also used to compare groups of data.

Line & Point Charts
A Line Chart is created by connecting a series of data points that represent individual measurements with line segments. Often used to visualize trends. While Line Charts show the development of a value over time, Point Charts highlight the "then-current" position.

Pie & Donut Charts
Pie Charts are circular charts divided into sectors, illustrating relative magnitudes or frequencies. In a Pie Chart, the area of each sector is proportional to the quantity it represents. Putting a hole into a Pie Chart delivers a Donut chart.

Area Charts
This chart type is based on Line Charts and displays graphically quantitative data. The area between the axis and line is commonly emphasized with colors, textures and hatchings. Usually an Area Chart compares two or more quantities, but they're also used to represent cumulated totals using numbers or percentages over time.

Portfolio & Bubble Charts
Bubble & Portfolio Charts display the relationship between three measures, represented by X/Y axes and bubble size. They are often used to represent financial data. When the third dimension's values differ significantly, bubbles are a perfect way to display these relations.

Radar & Spider Charts
Radar and Spider Charts are methods of displaying multivariate data in the form of a two-dimensional chart for three or more quantitative variables represented on axes starting from the same point. Connecting the endpoints of the analyzed data creates the shape from which the charts derived their name.

Speedometers
A Speedometer Chart (or gauges) displays one or more values using indicators and an appropriate metrics display inside or around the speedo. Often used in dashboards or scorecards to highlight some key performance indicators in nice graphical way.
